All four models signal their capability through elegant, athletic design. The large air intakes at the front of each car provide optimum cooling for the engine and brakes. The new Cayenne GTS and Cayenne Turbo have a much larger central intake. The Cayenne Turbo is instantly recognisable by its ‘power-domed’ engine lid.
The dynamic tail section on all four cars includes LED taillight modules. Beneath the lights, integrated within the body, are two single-tube tailpipes on the Cayenne and Cayenne S and dual-tube tailpipes on the new Cayenne GTS and Cayenne Turbo. All four models have a lower rear moulding with stylish diffuser design.
The interior of each car is designed around the driver in a range of quality materials. Full leather upholstery is standard equipment on the new Cayenne GTS and Cayenne Turbo. The Cayenne GTS has a new and exclusive sports seat design with Alcantara centers.
The powerful design is a pure expression of the underlying technology.The high-capacity engines use a range of innovations – including direct fuel injection and VarioCam Plus (in the V8 engines) – to achieve excellent performance and economy.
The Cayenne, Cayenne S and new Cayenne GTS are all equipped as standard with a six-speed manual gearbox. The Cayenne Turbo has six-speed Tiptronic S which is also available as an option on the other models.
The standard Porsche Traction Management (PTM) includes permanent all-wheel drive, anti-slip regulation (ASR), automatic brake differential (ABD), a two-stage transfer gearbox and an electronically variable centre differential. In critical road scenarios, active safety is enhanced by Porsche Stability Management (PSM).
Vehicles with air suspension system and PASM can also be equipped with Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC). This optional active anti-roll system greatly improves handling in corners.
All Cayenne models have a pushbutton ‘Sport’ mode as standard. When the function is activated, the engine is more responsive,Tiptronic S more direct and the air suspension drops to Low Level I. On cars with PDCC, this also switches to ‘Sport’ mode.
For easier loading, there’s an optional automatic tailgate and loadspace management system.
