Every new 911 is also offered in Cabriolet form. After all, there may be no greater sublime sports car experience than a spirited Sunday drive in an open-top 911. Technically, the Cabriolet models rival the performance of their closed-top counterparts.

With a 3.6-liter or 3.8-liter power plant and two- or all-wheel drive, including Porsche Traction Management (PTM), the Cabriolet range offers uncompromising sports performance to 911 standards.

The same applies where safety engineering is concerned. All new 911 models are equipped as standard with full-size driver’s and passenger’s airbags and the Porsche Side Impact Protection System (POSIP).

On Cabriolet models, these are complemented by a rollover protection system. A new seat ventilation option (available on all 911 models) is a particularly nice feature for those hot days when driving with the top down.

And when the top is up, it’s evident that these are Cabriolets in the traditional sense: They have a fabric top. This saves on weight in just the right place—for that low center of gravity so essential for a sports car, and for increased fuel efficiency. Further refinements to provide that irresistible appeal, even in bad weather.
